At the BFI Southbank Science Fiction/Double Feature event, we met infamous longtime fans and performers Mad Man Mike, Marty Fairgrieve and Ruth Fink-Winter. We had the chance to talk to them about their experience of 30+ years of shadow casting, the difference between performing in New York City, Lincoln, Nebraska or Glasgow, and why shadow casting in front of a crazy audience could truly be threatening back in the days when screenings were not as restricted as they are today. Believe it or not, one day, one guy, instead of throwing a toast he threw a toaster towards the stage. A toaster! Seriously?
